My current work is focused on the visual relationships among several major themes most recently including: the discoveries of earth-like planets, long term generational space exploration, off-Earth architecture, methods of transoceanic navigation, and the future of human life on other planets. I am also interested in terrestrial architecture and urban planning and the dynamics of domestic life within the expanding suburban landscape.
I have also spent a considerable amount of time in China, making and exhibiting art, teaching, traveling, and observing the overwhelming economic, social, and environmental issues facing the Chinese as their country transitions into a major global superpower. I have several bodies of work made over the course of five separate visits to a number Chinese cities during 2004-2010, including: Bejing, Songzhuang, Shanghai, Ping Yao, Taiyuan, Kaifeng, Zhengzhou, and the sacred Mount Wutai in northeastern Shanxi Province. I work in a variety of media including: digital imaging, printmaking, drawing, photography, and video/sound.
I am currently living and working in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA.
